My Latest Obsession: Bones

Let’s get to the point (Spoiler alert!). The season six finale of Fox’s hit TV Show Bones left us hanging.  Dr. Brennan, played by Emily Deschanel, is pregnant with her FBI Partner’s, Seeley Booth, played by David Boreanaz, baby. Holy gasp.

According to New York Magazine, season seven will premiere Nov. 3, which is much later than other TV shows. However, I like the logic of Hart Hanson, the show’s creator. Starting later in the fall TV season will allow about six episodes, which are to be filmed before Emily Deschanel has her first child, to air consecutively until the Christmas break.

Now it might sound like I have been a long-time fan of Bones, but I just recently started from the beginning (Thanks for the genius recommendation iTunes!). As recent as last month. If you’d like to do the math, then that is six seasons in about two months. The rate at which I watched the episodes increased exponentially as the show went on. It’s that good.

Deschanel plays a charming forensic anthropologist who is intelligent and not afraid to admit it. Brennan’s rationality and logic is balanced out by Booth’s romanticism. After six seasons of rooting for the coupling of these two, we finally have something that binds them to each other. Amazing.

The season premiere cannot come soon enough (I feel like this is starting to become my slogan, especially after the Castle finale). So I leave you with this advice. Get Netflix and watch Bones (It’s on instant view).
